Group think happens because excepting the vociferous others keep quite in a group. This keeping quite may be due to few things: a. I should say some thing readily receiving acceptance or else better I keep quite b. I know the chairman has already decided, what happens in the name of discussion is merely eyewash, then why waste energy, c. some members who want to say some thing (perhaps as an excercise in impression management )and gets snubbed I am afraid of same fate even though I know I have a valuable point. d. I have idea but due to my communication problems I do not dare to talk. there can be n number of such reasons. It makes quite good reading.
